What is a PD Array in Trading?

PD Arrays are institutional reference points that signal a potential shift in buying and selling activity.

Price moves from discount to premium, premium to discount using PD Arrays. The halfway point between discounts/premiums is called equilibrium.

They are identified as discount arrays when price is below equilibrium and premium arrays when price is above equilibrium.

PD Array in Trading meaning: PD Array means Premium and Discount Arrays

The PD Array in Trading

The PD Arrays do provide a structured approach to analyzing price movements and forming directional biases based on key price levels.

Here is a list of the only PD Arrays you need. The order is as follows:

  • Breaker Block Trading
  • Fair Value Gap (FVG)
  • Inverse Fair value gap (IFVG)
  • Order Block- Liquidity Pool

The PD Arrays  is part of the ICT Trading  Matrix and they show a hierarchy of institutional reference points. With this we can create a narrative around price and trade off these HTF PDA in the direction of the draw on liquidity.

Each PD Array ICT within a dealing range can be viewed as a single “line of defense” for price. Ever wonder why a Fair value gap gets left untouched and becomes a break away gap? That’s your answer.
