Why session timing matters in ICT Trading
ICT Trading treats time as seriously as price. The same setup carries very different odds depending on when it forms — a fair value gap tapped during the London kill zone is a different proposition from the identical gap tapped during the dead hours before Asia opens. This tool exists so you always know, at a glance, which session is live and which kill zone window is approaching.
The four major sessions
The 24-hour Forex day is usually split into four overlapping regional sessions. Their opening and closing shifts with daylight-saving changes, which is why this clock anchors everything to New York time and then converts to your local zone.
How to use this alongside your bias
Decide your daily bias first, then let the clock tell you when to be at the screen. If your bias is bullish and price has swept sell-side liquidity into the London kill zone, that convergence of time and price is exactly what ICT concepts are built around. Outside the kill zones, patience usually beats activity.
Every window shown here is converted to your device’s local time automatically, so there is no mental math between EST and where you actually trade from.
